How to Search
Search by Word or Phrase
Keyword searches target the titles and content of the sermons. A search for keywords will find a list
of all sermons containing the words in the search. There are three ways to enter your search terms:
- AND search
Terms entered with no commas between them are treated as AND searches, where all terms must be found in a document to yield a match. For example
a search for the terms Bible Spirit God will return a list of sermons that have all three terms within them.
- OR search
Terms entered with commas between them will be treated as OR searches, where a match with any one of the terms may be found in a
document to yield a match. For example, a search for Bible, Spirit, God will return a list of sermons that contain either Bible or Spirit or God
within them.
- Phrase Search
Terms within quotation marks will return a list of all sermons containing the exact phrase.
Results of a Word or Phrase search are displayed by date in descending order.
Search by Title
Title searches are similar to keyword searches, but only the sermon titles will be searched. The rules for AND, OR and Phrase
searches apply to the Title search as well.

Search by Author
Authors can be searched by first name, by last name or by both. If your search finds more than one author, you will be offered the options of
either choosing an author from a list of matching results or viewing the sermons of all the authors that matched your search criteria.
Searches will find all names that begin with the letter or letters that you enter into the input fields
Lists of authors are displayed alphabetically by last name and then first name.
List of sermons are displayed Alphabetically by title.
Search by Scripture Reference
Scripture reference searches will find a list of all sermons referring to that scripture.
- If chapter and verse are left blank, the search will find all sermons referring to the selected Bible book.
- If verse is left blank, the search will find all sermons referring to the selected Bible book and chapter.
Results of a Bible Reference search are sorted by chapter and verse, and then by date in descending order.
To make it easier to find references to specific Bible verses, a sermon may appear more than once in the Scripture search results.
